If your 2480 has a built-in CD or DVD drive, this hard drive will work in your machine, but replacing the hard drive is not as easy. This PDF Guide has info that shows you what is involved in taking apart your 2480CD or 2480DVD to reach the hard drive.
(Note: PDF file shows steps for replacing the CD drive, however similar steps are used for reaching the hard drive in a Roland 2480CD or 2480DVD unit)
